Longines “Ephéméride” ref.5235

¥25,000

You can see the sunrise and sunset time on Longines ref.5235

The year 1989 marked the 100th anniversary of Longines' registered trademark, the "Winged Hourglass". To celebrate this significant occasion, the company introduced an automatic winding wristwatch named "Ephéméride".

37-gauge, made of stainless steel, limited to 1000 pieces, exclusively released in Switzerland

This watch is equipped with a patented external rotating bezel that displays the month and time equation curve.

The window on the dial displays the sunrise and sunset times as well as the solar declination

This solar calendar watch can not only display the time, but also show the trajectory of the sun throughout the year.

It indicates the equation of time, sunrise and sunset, date, as well as the declination of the sun in the north-south direction of the equator.

It has a very unique feature, that is, the bezel is fixed and unlocked by a locking lever located below the bottom of the dial

The sunrise and sunset display is located at the 12 o'clock position, and the declination display is located above the 6 o'clock position.

The month and date displays are located at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions respectively. The sunrise and sunset times are in Swiss time.

The blue curve on the movable bezel around the dial represents the equation of time, indicating the difference between solar time and mean time.

In a year, the difference ranges from +15 minutes to -15 minutes.

The month displayed on the bezel is in French. Rotating the bezel aligns the current month with the top of the dial (at the 12 o'clock position)
